Development
WordPress for Nokia is an Open Source project, which means anyone can play a part in its development. WordPress for Nokia is released under the GNU General Public License. Both our app and our source code are free to download and use however you’d like. In return, if you are able, we’d love it if you contributed your code, your design talents, or even just your suggestions back to the project.
Getting involved
We discuss our development plans and progress on our development blog, http://dev.nokia.wordpress.org/. We invite you to join the discussion there. You can follow the changes to our source code in Trac. The login system uses the WordPress.org registration. For developing the code further, there are several options at Qt developer zone. Nokia provides good tutorials on getting started at Forum Nokia.
We’ve also assembled couple of step-by-step guides:
- Getting started with WordPress for Nokia S60 devices
- Getting started with WordPress for Maemo5 (Nokia N900)
Source Code
The source code is available via Subversion (SVN). You can browse the source or point your SVN client to the latest trunk, where you’ll find the latest development build. If you’ve never heard of SVN, you can learn more about Subversion on Wikipedia.
